Kentaro Morita is a public affairs and business consultant with over 8 years of experience providing services to governmental organizations, corporations, and industry associations in Japan and Europe, with particular expertise in the public and technology sector. Currently located in Japan, Kentaro was based prior in Romania and Estonia and is originally from Japan.

Kentaro was an economic advisor for almost 5 years at the Japanese Embassy in Romania and Estonia, where he led bilateral economic and business relations. He supported Japanese corporations and investors with the Ministry of Economy. Trade and Industry, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communication, Japanese External Trade and (JETRO), Japanese National Tourism Organization (JNTO) and Prefectural/Municipal Governments.

Kentaro was earlier a manager with one of the leading Japanese think tanks in Tokyo, where he conducted policy and market research, led an international joint venture project, provided international training programs for Japanese corporations, and organized international conferences/events. Kentaro also worked prior as an assistant manager with a Japanese–Estonian startup and supported Estonian companies for market entry to Japan.

Beyond his role at SIPA Partners, Kentaro is one of the organizers of Hokkaido Innovation Week, an international tech/startup conference in Hokkaido, and supports local governmental organizations, foundations, and universities to plan events and invite foreign startups and investors.

Kentaro holds a Master's in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London (SOAS), and a Bachelor in Law and International Relations from Hitotsubashi University. He also studied at the University of Glasgow in the UK and Utrecht University in the Netherlands. Kentaro is fluent in Japanese and English.
