SIPA Partners Names Amara Buyse as Advisor in Singapore
TOKYO | March 13, 2025 – SIPA Partners is pleased to welcome Amara Buyse as an Advisor, further strengthening the firm’s expertise in government affairs, public policy, and strategic advisory across Southeast Asia and Japan. With more than fifteen years of experience spanning both the public and private sectors, Amara brings a wealth of knowledge in regulatory engagement, policy development, and international business strategy.
Currently based in Singapore, Amara has spent over a decade in Asia advising policymakers and corporate leaders on complex policy challenges. Most recently, she served as the APAC policy lead for Rolls-Royce, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s aviation sector policies and sustainability initiatives across the region. Prior to that, she led government engagement efforts for the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in key markets such as India, Sri Lanka, Australia, Singapore, and Malaysia.
“Amara’s deep expertise in navigating regulatory landscapes, coupled with her extensive network across Asia and Europe, makes her an invaluable addition to SIPA Partners,” said Romain Caillaud, Principal at SIPA Partners. “Her leadership in government engagement and policy advisory will be instrumental in helping our clients navigate emerging challenges and unlock new opportunities in Southeast Asia.”
Before moving to the private sector, Amara directed the Singapore, Malaysia, and Myanmar offices of a regional government affairs advisory firm. She also worked in Malaysia at a leading strategic think tank, where she advised high-level policymakers, including the Prime Minister, on critical economic and policy issues. Amara began her career as a government liaison for Google before joining the European Commission as a Press & Media Officer, where she managed public communications and briefed journalists on EU affairs.
“I am excited to join SIPA Partners and collaborate with a team of world-class professionals dedicated to delivering strategic insights and solutions,” said Buyse. “In today’s dynamic policy landscape, businesses need trusted advisors to help them navigate regulatory complexities, and I look forward to contributing my experience to support SIPA’s clients in achieving their objectives.”
